Several UND Communication Program faculty members will present invited papers at the International Association of Mass Communication Researchers (IAMCR) in Istanbul in July. IAMCR is the primary European-based mass communication research organization. Steve Rendahl’s paper is on coverage of the Nobel Peace Prize awards. Richard Aregood, Kim Higgs and Richard Shafer will present a Space Studies-related paper on media coverage of threats from asteroid collisions with the earth. Shafer will also chair a panel and present a paper extracted from his recently co-authored book on the post-Soviet press in Central Asia.
